UN human rights experts have condemned Israel's deliberate deprivation of the Palestinian people of water and food, describing its current actions in the Gaza Strip as barbaric.
The UN experts said in press statements last night that more than 90% of families in Gaza suffer from water insecurity.
They added that the denial of water and food is a silent, but deadly, bomb that often kills children and infants. This constitutes a grave violation of international law and a crime against humanity.
The UN human rights experts considered that the decisions of Israeli government officials in this regard amount to crimes under the Rome Statute.
