The United Nations Human Rights Office on Wednesday called on “Israel” to end violence, displacement, and discriminatory policies in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement, the UN office said that settler attacks in the West Bank are increasing with the support or tacit approval of the Israeli army, leading to deadly consequences.
It added that “Israel’s” policies in the West Bank appear aimed at emptying areas to expand settlements.
The office affirmed that “Israel” is pursuing a coordinated strategy to expand and reinforce the annexation of the West Bank.
It stressed: “Israel must end its illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territories as soon as possible,” reiterating that all settlements in the West Bank are illegal.
