New York - Saba:
Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide stated on Tuesday that there is a double standard in Western countries' policies as they ignore the crimes committed by the Israeli enemy in Gaza.
In an interview with the Financial Times, Eide said, "Criticizing Russia while remaining silent about what Israel is doing in Gaza shows other parts of the world that we do not see these as absolute standards but rather as selective."
Eide warned Western countries of "losing credibility" due to what he described as the "selective application" of international law.
Norway has condemned the genocidal crimes committed by the Israeli enemy in the Gaza Strip, with the Norwegian Foreign Minister previously describing the situation in Gaza as "worse than hell."
With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued to commit genocidal crimes in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 60,034 Palestinian civilians, most of whom are children and women, and the injury of 145,870 others—figures that are not yet final, as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or in streets, unreachable by rescue and medical teams.
