Bayda – Saba:
The Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, inspected on Tuesday the agricultural activities of the Central Nursery in the city of Al-Bayda and reviewed its plan for planting and distributing fruit trees.
Governor Idris was briefed by the Director of the Agricultural Sector in the governorate, Engineer Mohammed Al-Haidari, on the nursery’s ongoing work, which includes a variety of fruit and ornamental tree seedlings.
Engineer Al-Haidari emphasized the importance of coordination with the Cleaning and Improvement Fund to distribute fruit trees and make use of the upcoming rainy season for planting. He also outlined the nursery’s role in agricultural production, noting that it previously distributed seedlings of figs, almonds, pomegranates, and other trees to farmers during past seasons.
During the visit, Governor Idris directed the agricultural sector and the Cleaning and Improvement Fund to begin planting fig trees along the stretch from the entrance of Izzah Street to the end of the main street in Al-Bayda City during the next rainy season.
He highlighted the importance of utilizing the natural resources that distinguish Al-Bayda and expanding the cultivation of fig, coffee, and other fruit trees.
Governor Idris also stressed the need to raise community awareness on the importance of agriculture and focus on utilizing suitable lands for farming. This aligns with the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, the President of the Supreme Political Council, and the Change and Development Government’s agenda to boost the agricultural sector.
