Gaza – Saba:
Israeli "Democrats" party leader Yair Golan on Tuesday lashed out at far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, accusing him of sending soldiers to their deaths for the “delusion of settlement in Gaza.”
In a post on the X platform, Golan wrote: “Smotrich dodged combat service, his sons are dodging it too, and he promotes a law that encourages draft-dodging — yet that doesn’t stop him from sending soldiers to die for the illusion of settlement in Gaza.”
Golan added that Smotrich “is pushing for a never-ending war, without recovering the captives in Gaza, at the cost of our children's blood, the exhaustion of the army, and the dismantling of Israeli society.”
The "Democrats" leader concluded with a stark warning: “Fulfilling Smotrich and his partners' vision will not only sacrifice an entire generation, but it will also destroy the Zionist dream and bring down the State of Israel.”
