Civil Society Organizations": Airdropping aid will not solve Gaza's famine crisis
Civil Society Organizations": Airdropping aid will not solve Gaza's famine crisis
[Sun, 27 Jul 2025 22:25:45 +0300]

Gaza - Saba:
Amjad Al-Shawa, head of the "Civil Society Organizations Network,"confirmed on Sunday that the Zionist enemy's reliance on airdropping aid will not resolve the famine crisis in the Gaza Strip, stressing that land routes remain the most effective, least harmful, and least costly method.

In a statement to the Palestinian news agency "Safa," Al-Shawa said, "While we appreciate the countries conducting airdrops, this method will not solve the crisis and has already caused civilian injuries and damages."

He emphasized the need to intensify international pressure on the enemy to open all crossings, allow aid entry, and ensure its delivery in large quantities to Gaza.

Al-Shawa explained that "Gaza's residents are confined to a narrow space with extreme overcrowding, raising concerns that airdrops could lead to casualties. Additionally, the amount of aid delivered this way is minimal."

He pointed out that international pressure is being exerted on the Israeli enemy, which attempts to mislead the global community by showcasing airdrop operations while allowing only limited aid through crossings.

Al-Shawa noted that the Fourth Geneva Convention holds the enemy responsible for facilitating aid entry, ensuring its flow, and securing its delivery.

This comes after the Israeli enemy army announced on Saturday evening its decision to resume airdropping aid into Gaza.

The move takes place amid an unprecedented famine in Gaza due to the enemy forces' closure of crossings since early March.
