A number of schools across the districts of Mawiyah, Shar’ab al-Salam, Shar’ab al-Rawnah, and Al-Furqan Complex in Al-Salu district of Taiz Governorate organized solidarity rallies in support of Gaza.
The rallies condemned the acts of genocide being carried out against the people of Gaza, including mass destruction, killings, starvation policies, and the blockade that prevents food, water, and medicine from entering the besieged strip. These crimes were attributed to the Israeli occupying entity, backed by the United States, and facilitated by the complicity of Arab regimes labeled as traitorous.
The protesting students stated that the cowardice of Arab governments and the silence of their peoples have emboldened the Zionist entity to escalate its starvation and killing policies in full view of the world. They declared their full solidarity with the people of Gaza, who are dying from hunger and thirst.
They held the United Nations and the UN Security Council accountable, accusing them of being complicit with Israel and the U.S. in implementing genocidal policies against two million Palestinians in Gaza. The students further denounced the international system’s double standards, especially when dealing with oppressed peoples—foremost among them, the Palestinian people and their just cause.
