At least 7 people were killed, and 28 others were injured in a stampede that occurred at the "Mansa Devi" temple in the city of "Haridwar" in the state of "Uttarakhand."
Indian media reports on Sunday stated that the cause of the stampede was the spread of rumors about the possibility of people inside being electrocuted, which caused panic among the crowd.
The Chief Inspector of Haridwar Police, Ramendra Singh Dobal, stated that police forces transported about 35 injured people to the hospital and confirmed the death of several of them.
