Ibb - Saba
A training course aimed at strengthening the capacities of administrative and executive bodies of associations in Ibb Governorate concluded today.
The course was organized by Bonyan Development Foundation and funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the governorate. It was conducted in coordination with the local offices of Agriculture, Social Affairs and Labor, and the Agricultural Cooperative Union branch.
Over 15 days, 29 participants from the administrative boards of associations in the districts of Al-Radhma, Al-Saddah, and Hubaysh received training in management, planning, organizational regulations, and development policy across social, economic, and organizational dimensions.
At the closing ceremony, Deputy Governor Mohammed Al-Shibibi praised the initiative, expressing hope that trainees would apply what they learned in practice—promoting community awareness, small projects, solidarity, and grassroots initiatives.
Mohammed Al-Qadiri, head of the agricultural financing unit, emphasized the need for structured programs to ensure the success of associations and reduce dependence on imports by achieving agricultural and economic self-sufficiency.
Engineer Hamoud Al-Rasas from the agricultural sector noted that improved seeds had been distributed to farmers via active associations and highlighted their role in expanding the cultivation of key crops.
Nabil Al-Murtada, director of Social Affairs and Labor, stressed the importance of associations in consolidating efforts to achieve food security.
Bandar Al-Ahdal, head of community initiatives in the governorate, called for increased community awareness and grassroots engagement to support sustainable agricultural development.
Representatives from the participating associations reflected on key concepts gained during the course, and the event concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the participants, attended by Bonyan Foundation’s local representative, Mansour Ghadir.
