The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) affirmed last night that, since the beginning of the negotiations, it has acted responsibly and with high flexibility on various issues, and has been keen to reach an agreement that halts the Israeli aggression and ends the suffering of the citizens of the Gaza Strip.
Hamas indicated, in a press statement, that it submitted its final response after extensive consultations with Palestinian factions, mediators, and friendly countries, and responded positively to all the comments it received, reflecting a sincere commitment to the success of the mediators' efforts and constructive engagement with all the initiatives presented.
Hamas expressed its surprise at US envoy Steve Witkoff's negative statements regarding its position, while the mediators expressed their welcome and satisfaction with this constructive and positive stance, which opens the door to reaching a comprehensive agreement.
Hamas stressed its commitment to completing the negotiations and engaging in them in a way that would help overcome obstacles and reach a permanent ceasefire agreement.
