Tripoli - Saba:
The Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation condemned the Knesset's approval of a decision to impose "Israeli sovereignty" over the occupied West Bank.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry described this move as a blatant violation of international law and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Libya emphasized that the Israeli enemy has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories and that this unilateral step cannot alter the legal status of these lands.
It expressed full solidarity with the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, calling on the international community—particularly the Security Council—to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities regarding Israeli violations and to take urgent action to halt them.
Similarly, the Arab Parliament condemned the Israeli Knesset's approval of the decision to impose "Israeli sovereignty" over the West Bank.
In a statement issued by its Speaker, Mohamed Al-Yamahi, on Thursday, the Arab Parliament considered this step a flagrant legislative aggression against the rights of the Palestinian people.
It affirmed that passing such racist legislation in the enemy's Knesset poses a direct threat to international peace and security, reflecting the enemy state's determination to advance its settlement plans and entrench an apartheid system under a false legal cover. This constitutes a blatant challenge to the principles of the UN Charter and the international order based on respect for international law and the rights of peoples to self-determination.
Al-Yamahi reiterated the Arab Parliament's full support for the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them the establishment of their independent, sovereign state with Al-Quds as its capital. He stressed the need to unify international parliamentary stances to halt this legislative recklessness in the enemy's Knesset and to expose its disgraceful practices in all international forums.
