Gaza – Saba:
A Palestinian child died Thursday evening in the Gaza Strip due to the worsening crisis of hunger, malnutrition, and lack of healthcare, amid the ongoing Israeli blockade and deteriorating humanitarian conditions.
According to Sanad News Agency, al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City reported the death of the child, Nour Riyad Ikhziq, due to hunger and malnutrition.
These repeated announcements bring the number of children who have died due to malnutrition to more than 76, while the number of deaths due to food and medicine shortages has reached 620 patients, according to official government data.
Hospitals and emergency departments in the Gaza Strip are witnessing an unprecedented number of starving citizens of all ages, arriving in states of extreme exhaustion, frightening emaciation, and complete weakness, exhausted by hunger and their bodies emaciated to a shocking degree.
In this context, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip warned of the worsening humanitarian disaster in the Strip, asserting that famine has reached catastrophic levels, threatening the lives of more than two million people, in light of the ongoing Israeli blockade and the ban on the entry of food and medicine for more than 140 days.
