Hamas: It is shameful for Intel community to remain silent witness to Gaza starvation

Doha – Saba:

Hamas asserted on Thursday that it is shameful for the international community to remain a silent witness to the brutal and horrific crime of starvation being committed by the Zionist enemy against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip — a crime that has intensified over the past five months.

In a press statement, Hamas stated that the ongoing starvation campaign in Gaza is a stain on the conscience of the international community, which persists in its disgraceful silence in the face of one of the most appalling crimes of our time.

“The systematic and openly declared policy of starvation and deprivation pursued by the government of the war criminal, Netanyahu — who is wanted by the International Criminal Court — against the Palestinian people in Gaza is a profound disgrace,” the statement added. “This horrific and brutal crime, which has escalated over the last five months, continues to unfold under the silent gaze of the international community.”

Hamas urged the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and other Western nations to turn their stated media positions into meaningful political and economic actions. It called on them to review all forms of cooperation with the Zionist entity, halt the supply of weapons that are used to kill civilians and children, and hold Israel entity accountable for using starvation as a method of mass killing.

The movement also called on the United Nations and the broader international community to adopt concrete and binding measures to compel the Zionist enemy to immediately allow the entry of humanitarian aid, without conditions or restrictions, in order to save civilians from the threat of death by starvation and dehydration.

Hamas held the U.S. administration directly responsible for the ongoing genocide and starvation crimes against innocent civilians in Gaza, citing Washington’s unwavering support for the Israeli government and its political and military backing for these atrocities. It emphasized that such continued support renders the U.S. complicit in what it described as one of the most heinous crimes in modern history.
