Palestinian Prisoner Organizations: Israeli enemy arrests 3,850 Palestinians in first half of 2025

Ramallah – Saba:
Palestinian prisoner organizations reported on Monday that Israeli occupation forces carried out 3,850 arrests in the occupied West Bank and Quds during the first half of 2025, including nearly 400 children and 125 women.

The organizations—(the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Club, and the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association)—stated in a fact sheet that the Israeli enemy continues its systematic brutality and crimes amid the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

They explained that the first half of 2025 marked an extension of the post-genocide phase, which has brought massive shifts in the occupation’s crimes and policies, including widespread arrest campaigns and accompanying violations, as well as the deteriorating conditions faced by prisoners in Israeli detention camps—one facet of the genocide.

The highest number of arrests was recorded in March, with 800 cases. The organizations noted that the figures include both detainees who remained in custody and those later released.

The most targeted areas were Jenin and Tulkarm, which have faced the fiercest aggression since the Second Intifada. Jenin recorded 920 arrests, while Tulkarm saw 455.

The report highlighted that mass field interrogations have recently overshadowed actual arrests, accompanied by crimes no less severe than those faced by detainees in interrogation and detention centers.

Additionally, the organizations announced the martyrdom of 19 detainees in the first half of 2025, including 10 from Gaza and 9 from the West Bank, among them child Waleed Ahmed from the town of Silwad.
