Israeli court orders autopsy on body of detained martyr

Ramallah - Saba:

The Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club stated that the Israeli court in Beersheba, during a session held Monday morning, issued a decision ordering an autopsy on the body of martyred prisoner Louay Faisal Nasrallah from Jenin and recommended that his body be handed over to his family.

The Commission and the Club stated, in a joint statement, that the court's recommendation to hand over the martyr's body does not mean it is binding on the Israeli authorities, especially since these authorities pursue a policy of withholding the bodies of martyrs based on political decisions.

Prisoner Nasrallah was martyred on June 30 at Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, without the circumstances of his death being known.

According to his family, their son did not suffer from any health problems before his arrest in March 2024 and his transfer to administrative detention.

They indicated The Commission and the Club noted that Nasrallah is one of 73 prisoners and detainees who have been martyred since the beginning of the genocide, as a result of a series of systematic crimes perpetrated by the enemy's prison system against prisoners and detainees, in an unprecedented manner. These crimes include torture, starvation, medical crimes, sexual assault, and the spread of diseases and epidemics.

The Commission and the Club noted that only the 73 martyrs have been announced, while the enemy continues to commit the crime of enforced disappearance against dozens of martyred detainees from the Gaza Strip.
