US President Donald Trump announced that the United States will send Patriot missiles to Ukraine.

"We will send them [Ukraine] the Patriot missiles that they desperately need," Trump said in press statements upon his return to Washington from New Jersey.

According to Trump, the United States will send Ukraine "various pieces" of military equipment, which the Ukrainians will pay for entirely.

Trump indicated that he was "very disappointed" with the pace of the settlement process and claimed to have heard only "fine words" from the Russian leadership.

In a related context, Axios revealed that "Trump will announce a new plan to supply arms to Kyiv on Monday, which may include offensive weapons," he added.

He added, "Two sources have reason to believe that the plan will likely include long-range missiles."
