The Minister of Agriculture and the Governor of Ibb launched a training course for field researchers and directorate coordinators aimed at verifying agricultural survey data within the contract farming program for grain and legume crops.
The course is implemented by the Grain Development and Production Corporation in cooperation with the governorate's agricultural sector and aims to train 110 trainees over a ten-day period to collect accurate data on production, agricultural practices, and market challenges.
The Minister of Agriculture emphasized the importance of contract farming in achieving self-sufficiency, pointing to challenges such as a shortage of personnel and weak oversight.
The Governor of Ibb affirmed the local authority's commitment to supporting this agricultural approach to confront the repercussions of aggression and blockade. The course is part of integrated efforts between the government, farmers, and the private sector to improve production and enhance food security.
