The Public Works and Roads Sector, along with the local branch of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs in Dhamar, organized a commemorative event today marking the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
During the event, Deputy Governor Mohammed Abdulrazzaq emphasized that honoring this occasion reflects the profound significance and enduring legacy of Imam Hussein’s revolution, which continues to expose hypocrisy and confront forces hostile to Islam and Muslims.
He stated that this commemoration reinforces the nation’s connection to Imam Hussein’s path, which is a true continuation of the prophetic message of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
Abdulrazzaq described Imam Hussein’s uprising as a timeless school for all the free people in their struggle against oppression and in defense of the downtrodden. He stressed the importance of keeping the tragedy of Ashura alive in the collective memory of future generations, making it a source of lasting inspiration in the fight against tyranny and deviation.
