Hodeidah – Saba

Hodeidah University conducted the entrance and competitive exams for applicants to the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program at the Faculty of Medicine for the 2025–2026 academic year (1447 AH).

A total of 244 students competed for 20 general admission seats, in addition to 5 seats reserved for students from rural districts and 5 for children of university staff, in accordance with the approved admission policy.

University President Dr. Mohammed Al-Ahdal praised the technical and organizational arrangements that ensured the exams were conducted with the highest levels of discipline and integrity. He emphasized the university’s commitment to transparency and fairness, noting that a series of strict procedures were applied throughout the process.

Dr. Al-Ahdal explained that the university follows a comprehensive and precise selection process, beginning with online registration, followed by automated scoring and result publication—all finalized on the same day via the university’s and Ministry’s official platforms. This approach, he said, guarantees equal opportunity for all applicants.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Mohammed Suhail, stated that the exam was administered according to strict academic standards, under direct supervision of the college’s faculty and with continuous oversight from university leadership. He highlighted that this ensured a smooth and credible testing environment suitable for such a critical academic program.

He added that the exams are part of the college’s broader plan to improve admissions processes in line with academic quality standards, addressing the real needs of the health sector by preparing qualified professionals. The college, he said, continues to update its educational and evaluation systems in alignment with national goals in medical education.
