Flamengo secured a 2–0 home victory over São Paulo on Sunday in Round 13 of the Brazilian Football League.
With this win, Flamengo climbed to the top of the league standings with 27 points, three ahead of both Cruzeiro and Bahia, and four points ahead of Bragantino.
In other matches of the round:
- Internacional beat Vitória 1–0
- Botafogo defeated Vasco da Gama 2–0
- Bahia edged Atlético Mineiro 2–1
It’s worth noting that Flamengo was recently knocked out in the Round of 16 of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, currently being held in the United States, following a 4–2 loss to Bayern Munich.
