During his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un expressed his country's readiness to support the Russian authorities' measures to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency reported: "Kim Jong Un reaffirmed North Korea's readiness to continue supporting all measures taken by the Russian leadership to fundamentally resolve the situation in Ukraine in accordance with the spirit of the treaty between North Korea and Russia." Kim Jong Un stressed that "North Korea and Russia agree on all strategic issues," and that "this reflects the high level of alliance relations between the two countries."
According to the agency, during his meeting with Lavrov, the North Korean leader asked to convey his warm greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Yesterday, Saturday, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that Lavrov met with leader Kim Jong Un during his official visit to North Korea.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in Wonsan, North Korea, on Friday for talks with his North Korean counterpart, Choe Son Hui, as part of the second round of strategic dialogue at the foreign ministers' level.
