Sana'a - Saba:
The General Mobilization Department in capital Sana'a organized a large meeting for scholars, preachers, cultural figures, and educational and social elites.
The gathering launched activities commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Zaid bin Ali, under the slogan "Insight and Jihad," as part of the "Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad" campaign for the year 1447 AH.
Speakers, including Shura Council member Yahya al-Mahdi and Sheikh Saleh al-Khawlani of the Yemen Scholars Association, reviewed Imam Zaid life of struggle and Quranic principles, emphasizing his knowledge, asceticism, insight, and courage in confronting tyranny. They stressed the need for the Muslim nation to return to the Quran to change its reality and confront oppressive forces.
The speakers also highlighted the ongoing "crimes of killing, extermination, and starvation" against the people of Gaza and Palestine by the "Zionist enemy and its supporters," criticizing the "shameful Arab and Islamic silence."
They called for cultural and awareness activities to strengthen Islamic identity, draw lessons from Imam Zaid's revolution against humiliation, and support the nation's causes.
Dr. Qais al-Tal, Head of the Guidance Sector, further emphasized the importance of embodying insight and awareness, and the necessity of action and jihad against oppressors, urging emulation of Islamic figures and their sacrifices.
