Sana'a - Saba:
The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Ali Al-Yafai, inspected on Saturday the progress of the expansion work at Al-Sukrah Mosque in Al-Rawdah District, within the capital Secretariat.

Accompanied by the ministry's Undersecretary, Dr. Issam Al-Sanini, and the head of the General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities, Abdulwahab Al-Mahdi, Minister Al-Yafai received a briefing on the mosque, which is one of the oldest in Al-Rawdah. The expansion project was emphasized as vital due to the area's high population density.

During the visit, the Minister highlighted the importance of preserving historical landmarks and the mosque's original architectural style. He stressed the need for expansion while maintaining the old mosque's structure without any alterations.

Al-Yafai praised the initiative of local dignitaries, residents, and philanthropists in carrying out the expansion work without compromising the old mosque, reflecting their deep awareness of the importance of preserving heritage and historical landmarks.
