Ibb - Saba:
A meeting in Ibb province, chaired by Governor Abdulwahed Salah, on Saturday approved the annual achievement report for projects implemented in the province during the year 1446 AH, funded by central and local sources, as well as through supporting funds and organizations.
The meeting, attended by Deputy Governor Mohammed Al-Shabibi, the head and members of the Technical Committee, and directors and officials of relevant offices and sectors, reviewed the service projects reports for the years 1444 AH, 1445 AH, and 1446 AH, in accordance with the models provided by the Ministry of Administration, Local Development, and Rural Affairs and the Executive Office of the National Vision.
During the meeting, Governor Salah praised the efforts made in preparing the annual project reports in line with the directives of the Revolution Leader and the President of the Supreme Political Council, and according to the approved models from the Ministry of Administration, Local Development, and Rural Affairs, supported by illustrative diagrams, data, and performance indicators.
He noted that Ibb province has witnessed a qualitative shift over the past three years in implementing service and developmental projects and community initiatives, based on the principle of priority and the needs of the local community.
Governor Salah pointed out that the completed projects were not limited to developmental and service aspects but also included mobilization efforts, supporting the fronts, consolidating security and stability, ensuring the success of summer activities, and caring for the families of martyrs, prisoners, wounded, and stationed forces, in addition to resolving numerous disputes and conflicts.
He emphasized the importance of the achievement report in providing a comprehensive overview of the level of plan implementation over the past years by verifying actual execution, supported by evidence, documentation, and measured results.
Governor Salah commended the preparation of the documentary evaluation presentation of completed projects across sectors, which contributed to alleviating citizens' suffering and achieving efficiency and effectiveness in utilizing available resources. He stressed the importance of follow-up and monitoring accompanying project implementation.
He also highlighted the necessity of including a list of projects carried over to 1447 AH, along with supported priorities, positive outcomes, areas of weakness, and proposed solutions to overcome challenges.
Meanwhile, the committee tasked with preparing the report reviewed the contents of the achievement report, as well as the methodology and tools used to gather the required information and data.
The report revealed that the total number of locally funded projects implemented in the province over the past three years reached 250 projects, costing over 14 billion, 855 million, and 472 thousand Yemeni riyals. Additionally, centrally and donor-funded projects amounted to 839 projects, costing five billion, 980 million, and 161 thousand riyals, along with 28 million and 25 thousand dollars, in addition to community initiative projects supported by the Emergency Developmental Interventions Unit.
