Justice Ministry & Human Rights condemns brutal crime of aggression mercenaries in Taiz

Sana'a – Saba:
The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights has condemned in the strongest terms the brutal crime committed by mercenaries of the Aggression Coalition, who targeted a populated residential area in Al-Hushama, Taiziyah District, with a direct missile strike, resulting in the martyrdom of five children and injuries to others.

In a statement issued today, the ministry clarified that the mercenaries committed a horrific crime that shocks the human conscience, leading to the martyrdom of the children: Mubarak Yasser Ali Ahmed Ghalib Al-Sharabbi (14 years old), Osama Abu Bakr Ahmed Ali (12 years old), Bashir Akram Ahmed Ghalib (12 years old), Anas Jawad Mohammed Saleh (14 years old), and Ahmed Ali Muqbil Abdullah Al-Atmi (12 years old).

The ministry considered the targeting of civilians, especially children, in their houses a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights conventions, foremost among them the Fourth Geneva Convention. It emphasized that this constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity, necessitating international criminal prosecution for all those involved—planners, executors, and supporters.

The statement noted that this crime is part of a series of repeated violations committed by the Aggression Coalition and its mercenaries against civilians, systematically violating the right to life and the right to protection, particularly for children, who are entitled to the highest levels of care and safeguarding under international covenants.

The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights held the aggressor nations and their mercenaries fully responsible for this crime and called on the international community to condemn the repeated attacks on civilians.

It also urged international and regional human rights organizations to fulfill their legal and humanitarian responsibilities by documenting these crimes, pursuing the perpetrators, and avoiding double standards in matters of international justice.

Furthermore, the ministry demanded that the United Nations take a clear and explicit stance against the systematic violations affecting children in Yemen, provide urgent international protection for civilians, and conduct an independent, transparent international investigation into this massacre to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure they do not escape punishment
