Newcastle United Announces Signing of Elanga in Major Deal

London - Saba:

Newcastle United Football Club has officially announced the signing of Swedish international Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest.

The 23-year-old forward signed a long-term contract with his new club after Newcastle agreed to pay an undisclosed transfer fee to Forest. However, Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano estimated the deal to be worth around €70 million.

Elanga, whom Newcastle manager Eddie Howe had targeted during last summer’s transfer window, will now join his Swedish national teammate Alexander Isak as the team prepares for the upcoming season, which marks their return to the UEFA Champions League.

Elanga was one of Nottingham Forest’s standout players last season, helping the club finish seventh in the Premier League by scoring six goals and providing 11 assists.

It is worth noting that Forest signed Elanga two years ago from Manchester United for approximately $20 million.
