Bethlehem – Saba:
A Palestinian worker was shot by Israeli forces on Wednesday east of Bethlehem, while the occupation troops established a military checkpoint south of the city in occupied Palestine.
The official Palestinian News Agency reported that Israeli forces opened fire toward a group of workers in the "Wadi al-Hummus" area, located between the village of Al-Khas, east of Bethlehem, and the Quds suburb of Sur Baher. One worker was hit by a bullet in the knee and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The agency added that an Israeli military force set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance of Bethlehem ("An-Nashash"), stopping and searching Palestinian vehicles while inspecting IDs, obstructing the movement of civilians.
Earlier today, Israeli forces closed two entrances to the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem.
According to the Anti-Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, the number of military checkpoints and iron gates installed by Israeli forces in the West Bank has reached 898, including 18 iron gates erected since the beginning of 2025 and 146 iron gates set up after October 7, 2023.
