The Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, inspected on Monday the workflow and performance levels in the works and roads sectors of the ministry, as well as the level of job discipline following the Eid al-Adha holiday.
The minister toured various departments and units affiliated with the two sectors and listened to explanations from undersecretaries and general directors regarding the progress of task implementation, particularly those related to service delivery, as well as the necessary needs for work development.
During an expanded meeting, the Minister of Transport and Works discussed with the leaders and staff of the works and roads sectors aspects related to task execution and performance improvement in line with the directives of the leadership and the government’s Change and Construction Program.
In the meeting, the minister emphasized the importance of recognizing the responsibility placed on all leaders and staff of the ministry in performing their duties and adhering to attendance and presence at workplaces. He directed the provision of necessary work requirements and needs.
He urged doubling efforts to accomplish all tasks assigned to the ministry, highlighting the vital service role of the works and roads sectors due to their direct connection with citizens.
The Minister of Transport and Works also stressed the importance of working as one team and continuously improving performance and the work environment. He affirmed the ministry’s leadership’s commitment to addressing any challenges that may hinder performance to ensure continuous institutional progress across all sectors of the ministry.
Meanwhile, leaders and officials of the works and roads sectors reviewed the efforts made in accomplishing various tasks and duties assigned to them, appreciating the ministry’s leadership’s keenness to provide the necessary requirements for enhancing performance.
