The Iranian Army's Public Relations has announced that the Army's air defense forces successfully hit and destroyed two Israeli F-35 fighter jets and a large number of drones.
Iranian News Agency (IRNA), which reported the news, stated that according to this report, the fate of the Israeli pilots is unknown and is being investigated.
The report stated that additional information will be released later.
Iranian air defenses also shot down Israeli spy drones that had penetrated the country's airspace at dawn on Saturday.
According to Iranian television, these drones were intended to carry out espionage and surveillance operations and were shot down.
In this context, television reported that Iranian forces shot down an Israeli drone in the city of Salmas in West Azerbaijan Province.
The Iranian Police Information Center also announced the destruction of five drones by border guards in various parts of the country.
According to a police report, one drone was destroyed in Urmia, three in Ardabil, and one in Marivan early Saturday morning.
