Moscow - Saba:
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that its air defense forces shot down 66 Ukrainian drones overnight over several regions of the country.
Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "From 8:00 PM Moscow time on June 13 to 7:00 AM Moscow time on June 14, operational air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 66 Ukrainian drones."
The statement clarified that: "30 drones were destroyed over the territory of Voronezh Oblast, 10 over the territory of Belgorod Oblast, 8 over the territory of Stavropol Krai, 6 over the territory of the Republic of Crimea, 1 drone over the territory of Samara Oblast, and 11 drones over the Black Sea Basin."
The Ukrainian Armed Forces target the Russian border regions in Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Voronezh Oblasts with drones and missiles almost daily.
Russian forces, in turn, continue their special military operation, with the aim of demilitarizing Ukraine, eliminating threats to Russia's security through Ukraine, and protecting civilians in the Donbas region.
