Rome – Saba:
Italian club Juventus officially announced on Friday the renewal of the contract of its Croatian football coach, Igor Tudor, for two seasons until June 2027, with the option to extend for an additional season.
The club wrote on its website: "Enthusiasm, charisma, youth: three simple words that accurately describe what Igor Tudor has been, from the end of March until today, since becoming coach of Juventus, and remind us of what the Croatian coach will continue to be in the future," according to Anadolu Agency.
The club said: "As of today, his contract renewal is official. Tudor is tied to our club until June 30, 2027, with an option for 2028. In the coming seasons, he will lead the men's first team, starting with the first official tournament held in the United States, the Club World Cup."
The 47-year-old Croatian coach took over at Juventus last March, following the dismissal of Thiago Motta. He led the club to a fourth-place finish in Serie A last season with 70 points.
Igor Tudor led the Old Lady in nine matches, winning five, drawing three, and losing one. The team is currently preparing to participate in the Club World Cup in the United States.
Juventus is in Group G of the tournament, starting next Thursday against Al Ain of the UAE, followed by Wydad Casablanca of Morocco, and concluding the group stage against Manchester City of England.
