Colombian media reported that Colombian Senator Miguel Uribe Turbay was attacked in Bogotá and shot.
Radio Blu-ray reported that Turbay, 39, the grandson of former Colombian President Julio César Turbay Ayala, had intended to run for president in 2026.
The radio station reported that the incident occurred while he was delivering a speech in Bogotá, and Uribe Turbay was attacked from behind.
There is no official information on the senator's condition; however, according to radio sources, he may have been shot in the head.
Later, the mayor of Bogotá reported that the man who shot Uribe had been arrested.
