Occupied Quds - (Saba):
Settlers circulated photos of postcards urging Zionist enemy soldiers to refuse conscription, whether for regular or reserve service.
Enemy media reported on Tuesday that settlers received mailboxes in front of their homes containing postcards urging soldiers to refuse conscription into the Israeli army.
With the resumption of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18, talk in Israeli society of the growing phenomenon of refusal to serve in the military, both in regular and reserve forces, has escalated. Meanwhile, the army remains silent, as military censorship prohibits publishing the numbers of those refusing to serve and return to combat.
With the Netanyahu government's violation of the ceasefire agreement and its refusal to initiate negotiations for its second phase, the circle of refusal to serve has expanded to include various military units, including Military Intelligence (Aman), the Air Force, and the Ground Forces. No one can provide precise figures on refusal to serve in the enemy's army, but anyone present at the demonstrations and following social media posts is aware that this refusal has become part of the societal mood in the occupied entity. In the same context, at the end of last May, an Israeli military court sentenced two soldiers from the Nahal Brigade to prison terms ranging from 15 to 20 days for refusing to participate again in the war on Gaza.
