Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast hot weather in the deserts, coasts, and inland plains, with scattered rain showers expected in parts of several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to the center's weather bulletin, hot to very hot weather is expected in the deserts, with maximum temperatures ranging between 38 and 44 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, hot and humid weather is expected along the coasts and inland plains, with maximum temperatures ranging between 34 and 39 degrees Celsius.
The center indicated the possibility of scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, in parts of the governorates of Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Dhale'a, and the highlands of Abyan and Lahj.
Scattered rain is also likely in parts of the governorates of Amran, Mahwit, Hajjah, Raymah, Shabwah, and western Sana'a.
The center reported that the amount of rainfall over the past 24 hours, measured at meteorological stations in Dhamar: 30 mm, Ibb: 18.8 mm, and the meteorological sector (intensity): 0.2 mm.
Scattered rains fell outside the stations in parts of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Raymah, Dhale'a, Taiz, and Lahj.
The center warned citizens of the hot and extremely hot weather in the deserts, interior plateaus, coastal areas, and interior plains, and advised against direct exposure to the sun during the afternoon.
It also warned against being in or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall, urging people to take shelter from thunderstorms.
