Moscow – SABA:
Krasnodar Football Club has etched its name in golden letters in the history of the Russian Premier League, securing its maiden league title with a commanding 3-0 victory over Dynamo Moscow in the final round of the season on Saturday.
The home side's goals came from Venezuelan striker Jhon Córdoba (47'), Russian midfielder Nikita Krivtsov (82'), and Armenian midfielder Eduard Spertsyan (90'), as reported by Russia Today.
With this win, Krasnodar reached 67 points, clinching the top spot and dethroning last season's champions Zenit St. Petersburg (66 points), who also won their final match 3-0 against Akhmat Grozny—a victory that ultimately tasted like defeat as it wasn't enough to retain the title.
