Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Samir Baja'alah on Wednesday met with Handicap Country Director in Yemen Reshma Azmi to discuss cooperation, including a potential treatment center for people with disabilities in Ibb serving four provinces, continued support for physiotherapy centers in Hodeida province, and completing a health center in Hajjah while providing supplies for a planned physiotherapy center in Sana'a.
Minister Baja'alah emphasized expanding services for people with disabilities through economic empowerment and referrals, praising Handicap's past efforts.
He stressed the increased needs of this group due to the ongoing conflict and the importance of strengthening the partnership, coordinating with the Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Fund, and mobilizing grants.
Azmi affirmed Handicap's commitment to providing more projects and mobilizing resources for disability-focused initiatives.
