Hamas on Wednesday called on the international community to take urgent and serious action to stop the Zionist criminal campaign and deter the terrorist enemy from continuing to commit war crimes and ethnic cleansing against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip, amid suspicious international silence.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the movement denounced the suspicious international silence regarding this genocide being perpetrated against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas condemned the new brutal massacre committed by the terrorist enemy army, which targeted a large gathering of civilians in a restaurant in the center of Gaza City, killing and wounding dozens, including a large number of women and children.
The movement called on the masses of the Arab and Islamic nation, and the free people of the world, to escalate the popular movement by all possible means, in support of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and in rejection of genocide and starvation.
It demanded that the enemy's leaders be held accountable as war criminals before international courts.
The Zionist enemy army committed a massacre. A new bloody incident occurred Wednesday afternoon, when a restaurant and a popular market were simultaneously bombed in al-Rimal area, west of Gaza City, killing approximately 25 people and wounding dozens, including children and women. "Sanad News Agency" quoted eyewitnesses as saying that enemy warplanes bombed the Thai restaurant and a nearby popular market, killing 25 people and wounding more than 60. The area is densely populated. The martyrs and wounded were transferred to al-Shifa Hospital, where the scene was described as extremely difficult. The destroyed corridors were filled with the bodies of the martyrs, while there were insufficient medical supplies to treat the wounded, some of whom were described as in critical condition, amid a near-total collapse of the medical system due to the siege and ongoing bombardment.
