Sana'a - Saba:
First Deputy Prime Minister Al-Allamah Mohammed Muftah, Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Dr. Ali Saeed, and Sana’a Mayor Dr. Hamoud Abad inspected on Wednesday the damage caused by the Israeli aggression’s targeting of the central Dhabhan power station.
Accompanied by Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Adel Badr and Director-General of the Electricity Corporation Dr. Mishal Al-Rifi, they received a detailed explanation from officials about the destruction inflicted on the station’s facilities due to the aggression.
Al-Allamah Muftah condemned the Zionist enemy’s targeting of the Dhabhan power station, a civilian facility providing essential services to citizens. He denounced the deliberate destruction of Yemen’s infrastructure, calling it an attempt to deter the Yemeni people from their principled stance in support of Gaza and the Palestinian cause. He emphasized that targeting civilian facilities constitutes a full-fledged war crime, prohibited by international laws and humanitarian norms.
The First Deputy Prime Minister stated that the crimes of the American-Zionist enemy add to the black criminal record of the U.S. and the Zionist entity. He reaffirmed Yemen’s continued support for the Palestinian resistance, Al-Aqsa, and the martyrs of Gaza and Yemen.
For his part, Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Dr. Ali Saeed condemned the Zionist aggression’s targeting of the Dhabhan and Hazeez power stations, the Asr control center, and electricity transformers in Alaman and Kula Jidar in Bani Al-Harith District. He stressed that attacking Yemen’s electricity infrastructure reflects the Zionist enemy’s abject failure and inability to subjugate the Yemeni people, holding the U.S. and the Zionist entity fully responsible for targeting service facilities, including power stations.
Minister Saeed called on the United Nations and human rights organizations to fulfill their duty in condemning the aggression against civilian infrastructure and the destruction of power stations.
Sana’a Mayor Dr. Hamoud Abad stated that the American-Zionist aggression’s targeting of civilian and service facilities exposes its clear failure to sway Yemen’s support for Gaza. He emphasized that such attacks only strengthen Yemenis’ resolve to stand firm in their moral and religious support for the oppressed in Palestine, asserting that Yemen—leadership, government, and people—will not remain silent in the face of Zionist crimes in Yemen and Palestine.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Electricity and Water Adel Badr stated that the Zionist aggression’s destruction of the Dhabhan and Hazeez power stations reflects its blatant bankruptcy and deep-seated hatred toward the Yemeni people, aiming to undermine their honorable stance with the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and all of Palestine.
He condemned the international and UN silence over the aggression’s targeting of service facilities, urging the UN, Security Council, and humanitarian organizations to take responsibility and stop the genocide committed by Israel and the U.S. in Yemen and Palestine.
