Ibb - Saba:
The Agriculture Sector in Ibb province on Monday launched its Agricultural Activities Program in Summer Schools, collaborating with the Subcommittee for Summer Activities.
The program, initiated at al-Nahda, al-Farouq, al-Sarkha, and Shahid al-Quran Schools in al-Dhihar district, aims to instill a culture of agriculture in children and youth, encourage tree planting, and educate them on the benefits of plants to combat desertification, protect the environment, improve living conditions, and support the national economy.
Over 35,000 fruit and forest trees, including Adini coffee trees, have been provided for planting in schoolyards and summer centers across the province.
This year's activities include tree planting, awareness lessons, guidance, and training on the importance and conservation of agriculture, motivating students to undertake agricultural initiatives.
Officials emphasized the program's role in equipping students with tree planting skills, promoting tree planting as a community culture, and highlighting agriculture as a key to national sovereignty. They commended the agricultural sector's efforts in fostering a love for agriculture and afforestation among young people.
