Hodeida Governor Abdullah Attifi and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports—member of the Supreme Committee for Summer Activities and Courses—Nabih Abu Shawsha inspected on Wednesday the summer activities in the districts of Al-Madina Square, as part of field follow-up on the progress of summer centers for the year 1446 AH.
The inspection tour included visits to centers in Al-Shaheed Al-Samad Complex in Al-Mina district, Al-Shaheed Taha Al-Madani Center in Al-Hali district, Al-Shaheed Al-Samad Center in Al-Hawk district, and Ammar bin Yasser Center.
Attifi and Abu Shawsha, accompanied by Hodeida’s First Deputy Governor and head of the provincial summer courses subcommittee, Ahmed Al-Bashri, Al-Madina Square Deputy Ali Kabari, Head of the Scholars Unit Sheikh Ali Sawmal, Director of the Youth and Sports Office Emad Al-Barai, Director of the Electricity Corporation Ahmed Rawdan, as well as educational and local leaders, reviewed the summer courses’ activities, including Qur'an memorization, Quranic studies, educational and cultural programs, and skill-building initiatives.
Governor Attifi praised the efforts in organizing the summer centers and accommodating students, commending the community engagement , the positive role of the educational and administrative staff in nurturing the capabilities of youth.
Meanwhile, Deputy Youth Minister Abu Shawsha emphasized that these visits reflect the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council’s commitment to the success of summer programs, which aim to build a conscious generation capable of contributing to development.
For his part, Subcommittee Chairman Ahmed Al-Bashri stated that the province’s summer program follows a central plan covering all districts, confirming daily follow-ups to address field challenges , achieve educational and national goals.
Al-Madina Square Deputy Ali Kabari highlighted the effectiveness of summer courses in protecting students from idleness and deviance through beneficial activities that shape their personalities and develop diverse skills.
Youth and Sports Office Director Emad Al-Barai noted the increasing turnout for summer courses, reflecting community engagement success, which encourages expanding and improving the initiative in future seasons.
