Hamas: Settlers' calls to open Aqsa Mosque fully serious escalation

Gaza - Saba:

Settlers' calls to fully open the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the upcoming Flag March represent a dangerous development in its Judaization and the imposition of full sovereignty over it, a member of Hamas's Political Bureau and head of the Quds Affairs Office said on Wednesday.

Haroun Nasser al-Din added in a statement that the settlers' calls come in light of the continued violations of the occupation and its settlers against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the entire occupied city of Quds.

He stressed that this necessitates mobilization and mobilization to thwart Judaization plans aimed at demolishing the mosque and building the alleged "Temple".

He pointed to the "Temple" groups' demand that extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir fully open Al-Aqsa Mosque to settlers during the "Flag March" on May 25 and 26.

He considered these demands to be in light of Ben-Gvir's encouragement of incursions into and desecration of the mosque.

He stressed the need to confront the extremist and escalating plans of the settler groups and their government against Al-Aqsa Mosque and their attempts to establish Talmudic rituals there, and to protect the city of Quds from Judaization and settlement plans.

Nasser al-Din called on our people in Quds and the occupied territories to mobilize and defend the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, intensify their presence in its courtyards, and confront the aggression of the occupation and its settlers against the mosque, especially in light of the prevention of West Bank residents from accessing the holy city and the mosque.

Nasser al-Din called on all Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims, as well as the international community and its relevant UN institutions, to deal with this incitement with the utmost gravity.
