Trade Unions Federation sends message about killing Yemeni workers by U.S. aggression

Sana'a - Saba:
The General Federation of Yemeni Trade Unions sent a message to the Arab Labor Organization about the killing of Yemeni workers and the destruction of their facilities by the US aggression.

The message, addressed to Arab Labor Organization Director Fayez al-Mutairi, blessed the holding of the 51st session of the Arab Labor Conference in Cairo from April 19 to 26.

"We would like to encourage you, as you hold your annual conference, which devotes a large part of its program to discussing labor issues in the Arab world, to remember the first Arab home, Yemen, whose workers are constantly being killed and their facilities destroyed by the US aggression, the latest of which was its targeting of the Ras Issa oil port in Al-Hodeida with many raids, which led to the martyrdom of 80 civilians and 150 injuries, mostly critical injuries to workers in the oil and gas facilities in the port," the federation said.

It explained that the US aggression against economic, industrial and service facilities is an attempt to destroy the economic structure, impoverish the Yemeni people and deprive them of the basics of a decent life. This is a flagrant violation of all international laws and covenants.

The message pointed out that the crime of targeting the port is added to the criminal record of the US-Zionist enemy. It emphasized that targeting civilian facilities and objects is a war crime according to international , humanitarian laws, and reveals the criminal face of the aggression that does not hesitate to violate all humanitarian principles and international norms.

The Union called on the participants in the labor conference to condemn these described crimes and hold the US administration responsible for its ongoing crimes against civilians and the repeated targeting of infrastructure and civilian objects in Yemen.
