A Chinese delegation visited Brazil to promote Asian trade relations and discuss major infrastructure projects, including a railway project linking the South American country to a huge port in Chancay, Peru, according to the South China Morning Post.
João Villaverde, secretary for institutional coordination at the Brazilian Ministry of Planning, told the newspaper that the meeting followed strategic agreements signed by Presidents Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Xi Jinping last November during the Chinese leader's state visit.
