The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that its forces had recaptured a town in Russia’s Kursk region.
In a statement, the ministry said that units from the Northern Group of Forces had regained control of the village of “Guevo.” It added that during their offensive operations, Russian forces targeted Ukrainian mechanized assault brigades, tanks, three airborne brigades, and a regional defense brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The ministry detailed that Ukrainian military losses in the Kursk direction amounted to more than 72,760 personnel, 405 tanks, 331 infantry fighting vehicles, 300 armored personnel carriers, 2,260 armored combat vehicles, 2,644 vehicles, 595 artillery pieces, 53 multiple rocket launch systems, 10 transport and loading vehicles, 123 electronic warfare stations, 18 counter-battery radars, 10 air defense radars, 56 engineering units, in addition to 15 armored recovery and repair vehicles and one command and staff vehicle.
