Leaders Club America suffered a surprise defeat to Pachuca (0/1) on Sunday in the sixteenth stage of the Mexican Football League (Liga MX).

Pachuca sealed the victory with a clean goal scored by Salomon Rondon in the 20th minute of the match.

Club America's tally at the top stood at 30 points, two points ahead of Cruz Azul, while Pachuca raised its tally to 24 points in seventh place.

In the rest of the matches, Cruz Azul beat Pumas Unam (3 / 2), Monterrey beat Chivas (3 / 1), Atletico San Luis beat Mazatlán (2 / 1) and Atlas drew with Juarez (1 / 1).
