The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, confirmed on Monday that the shooting attack that occurred near the city of Haifa in northern occupied Palestine comes in response to the escalating crimes of the enemy in Gaza and the West Bank, and against prisoners in occupation prisons.

The movement said in a statement that this operation, and previous qualitative operations deep within the enemy entity, reaffirm "the resistance's ability to break the enemy's prestige and cause it pain, and to respond to its crimes, aggression, and malicious plans aimed at eliminating the resistance, isolating the Palestinian people, and displacing them from their land in Gaza, the West Bank, and Quds, in addition to its ongoing criminal practices against our free prisoners."

The movement also affirmed that these operations are a natural choice and an appropriate response to the ongoing massacres, the policy of siege, intimidation, and abuse, and the displacement attempts, particularly from the West Bank refugee camps, most notably Jenin and Tulkarm.

The movement called for an escalation of heroic and painful operations in the heart of the occupying entity, and at all points of its presence in the West Bank, Quds, and the occupied territories. It also called for the unity of the Palestinian people and their support for the option of resistance until the enemy is defeated.
