The emergency central development unit in Lahj province, in collaboration with the local authority in al-Qabaita district has distributed 5,000 liters of diesel and 1,500 bags of cement to support community-led road construction initiatives.
During the distribution, Director of al-Qabaita district Wahid al-Hadr commended the unit's support, highlighting its role in facilitating community projects and encouraging further local development, particularly in road infrastructure. He also praised the active participation of citizens.
Intervention unit's follow-up and supervision official in Lahj Engineer Suleiman al-Hamiri emphasized that the distribution aligns with leadership directives aimed at fostering sustainable development through community initiatives.
He reiterated the unit's commitment to improving infrastructure and services, especially in rural areas, and acknowledged the strong cooperation with the local authority.
Director of Community Initiatives in Lahj province Ibrahim Hamim explained that the distributed materials will enable the completion of crucial road projects, thereby alleviating the hardships faced by residents in the challenging mountainous terrain.
