The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has approved a decision on "the situation in Gaza in terms of food security and related issues" falling under FAO mandate.
According to the decision, food insecurity in Gaza increased and all the civilians in the Strip are living food insecurity.
Sieging and pushing the Palestinian people to forced displacement badly worsen food insecurity in North Gaza, the decision says, insisting on the key role of UNRWA in Palestine.
The decision called on the member states to take measures that allow for UNRWA to do its work according to UN resolution, and on FO to keep on providing humanitarian assistance in coordination with other UN agencies.
