A UN official considered the conditions experienced by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to be horrific and catastrophic, amid the ongoing Zionist aggression on the Strip.

According to the Palestine Online website, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, said in her opening speech during the International Conference to Strengthen the Humanitarian Response to Gaza, that the international community is required to support humanitarian efforts in the Strip, and to build the foundation for sustainable peace in Gaza and throughout the Middle East.
