The government media office in Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the number of martyred Palestinian journalists has risen to 190 since the Zionist enemy army began its genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023.
"The number of martyred journalists has risen to 190 since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza Strip, following the announcement of the martyrdom of Alaa Fawzi Barhoum, a journalist editor at several media organizations," the office said in a statement.
He condemned "the targeting, killing and assassination of Palestinian journalists by the Zionist enemy." Holding it fully responsible for committing "this heinous crime."
He called on "the international community and international organizations related to journalism in the world to deter the occupation and prosecute it in international courts for its continuous crimes , pressure it to stop the crime of genocide , stop the crime of killing and assassinating Palestinian journalists."
The Zionist enemy forces, backed by the United States and Europe, continue to commit the crime of genocide in Gaza Strip for the 418th consecutive day, by launching dozens of air raids and artillery shell, while committing massacres against civilians, amid a catastrophic humanitarian situation as a result of the blockade and the displacement of more than 95 percent of the population.
